Our RSPH accredited training involves a combination of practical cooking sessions, nutrition tutorials and kitchen skills.
Among other learning outcomes trainees leave with:
We are extremely proud that our 5 day Training programme has been accredited by the Royal Society of Public Health.
''The lack of basic cooking skills and nutritional knowledge across many demographics is one of many drivers behind the obesity crisis and the growth of health inequalities in the UK.
That is why the great work being done by the Jamie Oliver company is so important, and why we are pleased to add their training programme to the roster of exceptional training programmes and initiatives accredited by RSPH.''
Our dedicated training team has over 20 years’ experience between them of working with Jamie on campaigns, recipes and training. They bring a wealth of experience in nutrition, public health, community work and programme delivery. Their passion and enthusiasm for teaching people how to cook shines through, in their fun and engaging training.
''A big thank you to the team. You worked so hard to train us, you taught us to be passionate about teaching, cooking and health and supported us in every way. It was one of the best and challenging (in a good way) week I’ve had in a very long time. Thank you! I am looking forward to teaching what I learned.”
''The training provided by the Jamie Oliver Foundation to enable staff to deliver the Ministry of Food programme in Leeds, offers our Council the re-assurance that the national evidence based healthy eating messages are delivered locally using the vehicle of cooking skills in a safe, progressive and inclusive way. The training is led by experts in the field of cookery and takes a peer learning approach to encourage staff to continually monitor and support each other to deliver effective practice.''
